The art of attention

Let one familiar detail become interesting again. What changes when you bring care to how you begin?

Astronomy, astrology & your practice +

The moon’s illumination and phase are astronomical calculations. At the selected time, its tropical sign is …; its tithi is …. A tithi is a 12° step in the Moon–Sun longitude difference, not a 24-hour day.

Nakshatras use a sidereal zodiac. The Astro-Seek example for 13 September 2026, 12:00 UTC uses Lahiri and shows Chitra, pada 1. This prototype does not calculate daily nakshatra transitions.

Astrology is an optional symbolic lens here. It does not determine organ health, injury risk or which postures are suitable for you. Choose practice with your teacher and your actual needs.

The moon illustration is an artistic northern-oriented view, not a simulation of its tilt in your local sky. Selected calendar dates show the sky at local noon; Today uses the current time.

Hi Kate, I found your Moon Journal. I’d like a personal Ashtanga lesson online over Zoom (€75 / 60 minutes). My goal is to build a steady practice. Could you confirm availability and the lesson details?
